A dash of Vegas glamour has helped St Luke’s supporter Karen Keady raise a further £22,600 for her favourite charity.
Karen has organised a series of glittering balls at Sheffield’s Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Hotel in memory of her mum Ann, who was a St Luke’s patient.
And with proceeds from the two most recent events – including October’s Vegas themed celebration – coming to £22,600, that means she has now raised in excess of £50,000 for our patient care.
“I really can’t say how delighted I am to have raised so much money for such a great charity,” said Karen.
“We are passionate about St Luke’s and the work they do and I have a great organising committee who are equally enthusiastic.
“My mum died 15 years ago now but the fundraising continues as a tribute to her life.”
Plans are already underway for Karen’s 2023 Ball, which will have a gold theme, and will be held on November 11.
Karen will also be hosting a special summer barn dance, with details yet to be confirmed.
