SHEFFIELD engineering, construction and asset management consultancy Waldeck swapped the comfort of their Advanced Manufacturing Park offices for the rugged splendour of the region’s most spectacular landscape as they took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The 26-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes walkers through the stunning Yorkshire scenery of the Dales National Park, starting with smallest of the peaks, Pen-y-ghent, before going on over 12 hours to tackle the peaks of Ingleborough and Whernside, climbing a final total of 1585 metres!
And by the time they had completed the trek, the Waldeck M&E team had raised a fantastic £1,738 for our patient care.
“We walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks in July in memory of our friend and former Director, Ged Smith,” said Waldeck Director of M&E Adam Machan.
“I’d like to thank all those who donated and took part in the event which surpassed our £1000 target raised on behalf of St Luke’s considerably, with a final total of £1,738 - and counting!”
Our Fundraising Account Manager Matthew Sheridan added: “This was a fantastic effort by the Waldeck team and one that really will make an enormous difference to the lives of all St Luke’s patients and their families.”
