SHEFFIELD United Disabled Supporters’ group took time out from watching their favourite team to raise more than £200 for our patient care.
The group held a raffle and tombola stall at Frecheville Gala to raise funds for Sheffield’s only hospice.
“As a group we like to raise money for other charities and after visiting the St Luke’s Celebration of Life in the summer we thought we like to do something for them,” said organiser Janet Ireland.
"We always visit St Luke’s events like the Festival of Life and the cathedral Christmas service so we know all about the great work St Luke’s does and we know a lot of people who have been patients.”
Our Fundraising Assistant Gemma Lancaster commented: “We are delighted that the Sheffield United Disabled Supporters thought of St Luke’s.
“The amount they raised really will make a big difference to the lives of all our patients and their families.”
