THIS team of intrepid fundraisers are taking on one of the year’s toughest challenges as they support St Luke’s Hospice.
The Sheffield friends - Josh Beachell, Sam Ashworth, Joe Ashworth, Sam Civil, Ellis Chant, Connor Jubb, Carl Hurst, Ryan Beatson, Callum Burnes, Luke Lomas, Sam Hawksworth and Chris Sharp - are in training for the National Three Peaks Challenge.
In just 24 hours the lads will have to reach the top of the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland.
They will start with Snowdon in Wales, then go on to England’s Scafell Pike and finish at the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland.
And before they even embark on their adventure they have already raised £1,725 for St Luke’s.
“St.Luke’s provides the best standard of care and support for the people and families of those who are battling serious illnesses,” said Sarah Doyle, who is helping with organisation for the challenge.
“Having experienced the work St Luke’s do first hand with some of our loved ones, we are able to say that this is a cause that needs to be shown a massive amount of gratitude and appreciation.”
