PUPILS, staff and friends at Sheffield’s Parkwood Academy have gone to the top of the class after raising more than £3,000 for St Luke’s in less than a year!
Popular fundraising activities over the past 12 months have ranged from a non-uniform day to book sales.
And adding to the total are the Parkwood Coffee Morning group, local residents and former pupils of the original school on the site who now meet regularly for coffee, cake and friendship.
“This really is a fantastic example of how a whole community, both young and not so young, can come together to make a difference,” said our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.
“This is a great achievement from one of our keenest groups of supporters and one that will add so much to the lives of our patients and their families.”
