THE curtain is rising on a second year of theatrical fundraising for St Luke’s by Stannington Players.
The community theatre company chose us as their charity of the year for 2016/17, supporting us at each of their three yearly productions at Lomas Hall in Stannington.
At their annual pantomime, profits from sales of Our Cow Molly ice cream gave the campaign its biggest boost, raising more than half the final total of £1,111.09, with extra cash coming in from donations for interval teas and coffees.
And following up on the success of their fundraising efforts the company has agreed to continue their support for a second year.
Our Community Fundraising Assistant Noni Bryson commented: “We are delighted to have been supported by Stannington Players who have proved themselves to be real stars throughout a year of great fundraising for us.
“We look forward to another great year of fantastic performances and great fundraising!”
