THE designer of our In Patient Centre has won a major award.
More than 500 representatives from the NHS and healthcare industry came together in London to celebrate the best in British healthcare at the 18th annual Building Better Healthcare Awards.
The awards celebrate innovation and improvement in the built environment and best practise in the delivery of facilities management services, with 190 entries across 26 categories.
And the award for Best Internal Environment Winner went to Sheffield-based Race Cottam Architects for their work on the St Luke's In Patient Centre.
“We are delighted that Race Cottam has won this industry award, giving national recognition to this special project which was truly a joint achievement by them and the St Luke’s team, particularly the fantastic interior design,” said our Chief Executive Peter Hartland.
“We now have a world class centre for the support of our patients, a fact that was recently reflected by the Care Quality Commission rating our levels of care as outstanding.”
