Owlerton Stadium struck gold to raise more than £6,000 for St Luke's at its annual Ladies Day celebration.
The stadium hosted the Olympic-themed event, which saw guests don their most glamorous outfits.
And the Owlerton team recently paid us a visit to officially present a cheque for the fundraising total from the event, which came to £6,147.
The Ladies Day event is one of Owlerton’s most popular events and raises vital funds for our patient care.
Joasia Lesniak, our corporate fundraising manager, said: “We are delighted that Owlerton chose to support us once again.
“The final amount raised makes an enormous difference to the hospice and to all the people throughout the city who depend on our continued support.”
John Gilburn, managing director at Owlerton, said: “We have been long-standing supporters of St Luke’s Hospice and we are delighted to have presented this latest fundraising total to them.
“Ladies Day is always such a popular event and this year was no exception. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us to reach this fantastic amount for such an incredibly worthwhile cause.”
