Quality of care is central to everything that nurse Kim Herrington brings to her working life.
“We deliver really good quality care and that is something I am extremely proud of,” she says.
“We pull out all the stops for our patients and we do everything we can to give them whatever they need.”
“I have lost count of the number of times people have said that they are glad that their loved ones had the chance to come to St Luke’s.”
Kim knows that this level of care and support extends far beyond the patient to embrace the whole family.
“Families are just as important as the patients in many ways,” she insists. “Families are complicated things and their needs will all be very different but that’s part of what being a St Luke’s nurse is about.”
“Both patients and families find peace and privacy at St Luke’s and that’s very important, giving them a space where they can share memories and come closer together.”
