Friends tackle their first full marathon for our care

Our Corporate Fundraising Coordinator Jack Kidder and his friend Sam Christmas of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry are hoping for double the fundraising as they embark on their first full marathon together.

Having both completed half marathons in the past, they’re now joining forces as they face the challenge of completing the Morpeth 2 Newcastle Marathon on Sunday 30 October, while raising money towards our care.

We thought it would be a great way to celebrate the partnership between St Luke’s and the Chamber,” said Jack.

“We've both independently run half marathons for St Luke’s but this is the first full marathon for both of us and will be a real challenge!”

“As a membership organisation Sheffield Chamber are proud to support local charities,” said Sam.

“I see this as a great opportunity to support St Luke’s, the Chamber’s Charity of the Year and I'm looking forward to taking part in the marathon and raising as much money as possible”.

The Morpeth To Newcastle road race has captured the imagination of runners the world over for a century, with a route that takes in Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle.

If you'd like to support Jack and Sam, you can donate online on their JustGiving page.
