Donating items to our shops
We rely on your quality donations, so that we can provide quality care.
All donations to our shops help us to raise vital money. We can accept donated items at our shops during their opening hours and at our Donation Centre Mondays - Saturdays, 10am-3pm.
Please do not leave donated items outside our closed shops as it often means that due to exposure to rain, the items need to be treated as rubbish and we are unable to turn the donations into money for our patient care.
Things to bear in mind when donating
- We don't have washing machines, upcycling tools or extra space - we're not equipped to fix, clean or repair - so please donate clean, dry, good quality items.
- There are certain items we cannot accept due to legislation or health and safety. Please check the list below before donating.
- Please consider the weight of your bags and boxes when packing so they are not too heavy.
- Please pack your items in a safe and secure way to avoid damage.
- The rag industry is now in decline. While we used to receive money for rag (unsellable textiles), it can now cost the charity to dispose of these items.
Furniture collections
Your unwanted furniture can help fund our patient care and we are delighted to offer our free furniture collection service. Please contact our Donation Line on 0114 235 7562 or email [email protected] to arrange a free collection. Alternatively, please fill out the form on this page to tell us about your furniture items and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Our drivers will be happy to collect additional donations of clothes or household items when we are attending your furniture collection. Please inform our Donation Line staff of these additional donations when you book your furniture collection.
