Palliative counselling service
St Luke’s qualified counsellors are here to support patients and their loved ones following a diagnosis of a palliative condition, offering a safe space for you to talk openly, ask questions and be heard without judgement.
Here to support and advise, and above all, to listen
Receiving the news of a terminal diagnosis brings challenges no one should face alone. At St Luke’s, we will do everything we can to be there for you and your loved ones, helping you navigate this most difficult experience and find ways of adjusting to illness and treatment.
Through our palliative counselling service, we provide professional counselling and psychological support over multiple sessions for patients living with a palliative condition under St Luke’s care – in the Hospice or at home – as well as for their families, friends and carers.
You can access palliative counselling at the Hospice or our Social Prescribing site from Monday to Friday. To make this service more accessible, we can tailor one-to-one or accompanied sessions to meet your needs, with telephone, face-to-face, or video-call options available.
