Sills & Betteridge take on the Sheffield 10k Corporate Challenge

We're shining a spotlight on Sills & Betteridge - one of the teams signed up for the Sheffield 10k Corporate Challenge taking place at the end of the month.

The St Luke's Corporate Challenge brings businesses from across Sheffield together for a fun, competitive, and impactful event. Teams of three colleagues will take on the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 27 September, and race against other local organisations.

Adam, Elizabeth and Simran from Sills & Betteridge Solicitors are taking on the challenge together, raising vital funds to help us continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and families across our community.

Their reasons for taking part are exactly what this challenge is all about: teamwork, personal achievement and making a difference.

“I've been getting into running to better my general health and fitness, and to learn to appreciate the quiet moments with myself,” said Wills & Probate Executive, Simran Roy. “The chance to test that in a fun race with my co-workers while also supporting a beloved local charity was too good of an opportunity to miss!”

For Trainee Paralegal, Elizabeth Pearce, the challenge is also all about teamwork:

“Taking part alongside colleagues makes it even more rewarding because we're all working towards the same goal, while encouraging one another to push ourselves and have fun along the way,” said Elizabeth.

“The challenge gives me the motivation to train, stay focused, and hopefully inspire others to support St Luke’s along the way,” says Private Client Executive, Adam Jenkins. “Knowing that I’m raising money for such an important charity makes every mile worthwhile.”

The members of the team each had their own reasons for why they have chosen to support St Luke’s in this challenge.

“St Luke’s work has a genuine and lasting impact on so many people,” continued Adam. “I wanted to show my appreciation by taking on a personal challenge while raising funds for a charity that plays such an important role in our local community.”

“What I admire most is that St Luke’s care extends beyond the individual,” said Elizabeth. “They also provide invaluable support to families during the most difficult periods of their lives. Being able to offer comfort, reassurance and dignity when it matters most is something truly special.”

For anyone considering taking on their own challenge and supporting our work, the team had some encouraging words: “By supporting St Luke's, you're helping ensure that nobody has to face the end of their life alone or without dignity,” said Elizabeth.

“Every donation, no matter how large or small, can make a meaningful difference to the people and families supported by St Luke’s,” said Adam. “I would encourage anyone who can to get involved and support St Luke’s in whatever way they are able.”

“Supporting St Luke's is supporting a kinder future for all,” added Simran.
