Social Prescribing at Stocksbridge
Wellbeing Sessions at Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre
We know that not everyone lives close to our hospice, so throughout 2026, we’re hosting regular outreach wellbeing sessions at Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre. These relaxed, friendly mornings are a chance to find out more about our social prescribing services and the wider support St Luke’s can offer.
Each session includes gentle arts and crafts, warm drinks and conversation, and the opportunity to speak with our team about the wide range of services available at St Luke’s.
Who can attend?
The sessions are open to anyone living with a palliative condition, including cancer, COPD, Parkinson’s disease, dementia or Motor Neurone Disease. Carers are warmly welcomed too.
What to expect
Alongside the creative activities, you can learn more about how our medical care is supported by wider services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, creative therapies, social work support and chaplaincy care. Our team will be on hand to answer questions and help you understand what support might be most helpful for you or someone you care for.
