At St Luke’s, we welcome corporate groups to support our shops, events and collections. A day of volunteering is a meaningful way to bring your team together outside of the workplace and make a positive difference in your local community.
Working together to support St Luke’s
Corporate Volunteering groups make a huge contribution at St Luke’s, and we’re proud to work with a range of businesses and organisations across Sheffield, including Aviva, HSBC, Henry Boot, Irwin Mitchell, and Plusnet. In 2024-2025, we had 722 corporate volunteers attend and contribute over 4,300 hours of their time to volunteering with us.
Our corporate charity days offer your team a chance to foster team spirit, strengthen relationships, and fulfil social responsibility. They work around you, with opportunities suited to different skills and group sizes, and no long-term commitment required. Every hour you give helps us provide quality care to patients and their families.
What to expect on your day of volunteering
Get hands-on with different roles
A typical St Luke’s corporate charity day might involve sorting pre-loved donations for our retail shops or heading into the community to assist with fundraising collections.
Work together with full support
We provide an engaging environment that’s perfect for team building, full training on the day (including health and safety), and a dedicated contact to support your group.
Share your experience and inspire others
We also encourage you to share your experience on social media to celebrate your team, inspire others, and promote a little friendly competition between local companies!

Retail Volunteering Days
Support our Retail Team for a day and step into the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our shops running. With locations across Sheffield, including our busy Donation Centre, you’ll help sort and prepare items for sale. It’s a rewarding, insightful experience – and often great fun discovering what’s been donated.

Event Volunteering Days
Be part of the excitement by joining our Volunteer Team at fundraising events throughout the year. From cheering on runners at the Sheffield Half Marathon or 10K to lighting candles at our Festival of Light, our one-off and regular volunteering days are a great way to have fun while helping others.
Collection Volunteering Days
Help raise vital funds by taking part in our fundraising collections. From supermarkets to match-day events, there are plenty of workplace volunteering opportunities for you to get involved in. These roles are flexible, fulfilling and an easy way for your team to make an impact in your local community.
