This May we're inviting people across Sheffield to “be part of something big”, as our annual month-long volunteer campaign returns.

Throughout May, we're shining a spotlight on volunteering and encouraging people to give it a try and discover the difference they can make. Whether you’re completely new to volunteering or looking for a meaningful way to give back, there’s a role for you at St Luke’s.

The campaign runs through to first week of June, coinciding with national Volunteers’ Week – a time to celebrate the incredible team of volunteers without whom we simply couldn’t exist.

Be Part of Something Big is all about discovering new opportunities and trying volunteering in a way that works for you. We offer a wide range of flexible volunteering opportunities in Sheffield, designed to fit around lifestyles, interests, and availability.

Opportunities range from supporting in St Luke’s charity shops and Donation Centre, to helping at events, collections, or even volunteering at the hospice itself. Whatever your skills or experience, our Volunteering Team will help find a role that’s right for you.

Whether you have a few hours to spare, a day to give, or are looking for a longer‑term commitment, there’s a place for you. For those unsure where to begin, we also offer relaxed taster sessions throughout the year to give volunteering a try.

“We’re currently recruiting for a wide range of exciting roles, from Mystery Shoppers across our retail chain, to a brand‑new volunteer actor role supporting our Wilkes Institute training and education courses. There really is something for everyone, and we’d love for you to join the team.”
