ANY dream will do for patient Tracy Birtles as she enjoys a special night at the theatre.
Cancer patient Tracy, who lives in Hackenthorpe, has been a patient at our In Patient Centre as our medical team help her with symptom and pain control.
But she was able to enjoy a special night at the Lyceum Theatre with husband Michael after a St Luke’s supporter presented the hospice with two tickets to hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
“I was absolutely delighted that somebody had thought to make such a generous donation,” said Tracy.
“I checked with the medical team and they said I should just go and have a good time.
“What made it especially nice is that it was our anniversary a few weeks ago and we couldn’t do anything because we’ve had so much happening so these tickets made it a bit of a date night.
“I can’t believe the generosity and kindness of people – this gift has made such a great difference to us.”
