St Luke’s has recently expanded its Donation Centre in the S4 area of Sheffield. The operation of this Donation Centre is key to supporting the retail shops, and we are looking for a Team Leader to aid in the running of the Donation Centre and the processing of donations.

This fast paced role will be located at Fieldhouse Way, S4 7SF, which is the hub for donations and processing donated stock, although there may be times where you are based at other locations across Sheffield

Effective communication and listening skills with the ability to form good relationships with colleagues and volunteers is essential in the role.  Experience in working/volunteering in a retail/charity or warehouse environment would be desirable. 

Main Responsibilities will include;

  • Provide support, training and supervision to volunteers, trainees and work placements
  • Processing stock donations
  • Quality checking stock
  • Helping to process gift aid to maximise sales
  • Basic use of internet to check value of items of interest (training given)
  • Liaising with E-Trading department on high value items

Flexibility is essential for this post, with weekend working and over time as required. No evening or nights.
